Personal Growth starts with knowing Yourself (and continues by checking in often)
Do you ever feel like you know the tools, the routines, the habits... but still your routine slips or you drift away from what really aligns with you? Like you’re stuck even though you've done the work?
I’ve learned that I need to pause from time to time—especially when I notice I’m feeling too stressed or disconnected—and reset conditions to start fresh. This time, I did that by attending Growth Day, a 3-day event hosted by Brendon Burchard (a friend was going and invited me to join). While I didn’t hear anything radically new—as often happens with these kind of events—it was so helpful to be reminded of things I somehow knew but had stopped prioritizing. Sometimes the biggest growth comes not from learning new things, but from taking a moment to reflect, reconnect, and realign with what matters most. Plus, the energy from the speakers was incredibly inspiring—they shared valuable life lessons while sparking joy, excitement, and motivation in everyone attending. It felt really good!
Key Ideas and Takeaways
Things that I learned, I liked, or thoughts I had after feeling inspired there:
⭐️
Growth isn’t always about new information, but about not forgetting what we know
We’re often hunting for new insights, thinking that the next tool, method or technique will finally unlock our potential. But what I experienced at Growth Day was different. I didn’t walk away with a brand new secret to life. What I got instead were reminders about how important it is to check in with our values, to realign with our goals, and to carve out space for joy. Those reminders had a deeper effect than any novelty learned there.
⭐️
Clarity is the foundation of success
One thing I see again and again with my clients (and in myself!) is how much easier things become when you’re clear. Clear on what matters; clear on your current season; clear on what success means to you. Your values and goals need to align, otherwise you're running fast in the wrong direction. This is true whether you're building a business, leading a family, or just trying to get through the week without burnout.
⭐️
You don’t have happiness—you generate it
This line hit me hard. I looked at my calendar and saw... a lot. Meetings, client calls, short squeezed workouts, kid events. But no “just-joy” time. No recharging moments. So last week, I not only decided to skip the week’s post to focus on other priorities and tasks, but also added two small things to my calendar: I sat in the sun listening to music while waiting at my daughter’s swim class and next day I went to yoga again. Those two events didn’t take time away from my day—they gave me energy for the rest of it. Don’t forget to find time to generate happiness, because happiness won’t just magically appear in your life while you’re prioritizing everything else.
⭐️
Your version of productivity should fit you
Growth Day was full of hacks and amazing productivity tools, but the truth is, not all of them made sense to me or resonated with how I work. And that’s okay. We need to stop shaming ourselves for not thriving with what works for someone else. You’re not broken if a planner, app, or morning routine doesn’t stick. You're just... you. Maybe you’re neurodivergent, maybe you're in a different season of life, maybe you prefer pen and paper over digital tools, maybe you’re a night owl instead of a 5AM clubber, or maybe your brain simply works differently. Find what supports you—and after giving it an honest try, let go of what doesn’t. No remorse, no guilt. Just testing, learning, and discovering your own path and your best way.

Self-awareness is the ultimate performance hack
The best thing you can do for your growth is to get curious about yourself
What lights you up? What drains you? What patterns keep coming back? The more you understand yourself, the better you can choose tools, routines, and goals that actually work. And give yourself permission to evolve. Who you were five years ago isn’t who you are now; and that’s a beautiful thing.
Personal Growth isn’t a destination, and it’s definitely not a one-size-fits-all journey. It’s a continuous dance of checking in, adjusting, and learning who we are in each new season of life. You deserve tools that work for you, goals that reflect your values today, and the time and space to create the joy you want in your life.
So take the pressure off. Get curious. And keep growing—kindly, intentionally, and unapologetically.
